tinklesdavis asked:

I myself get very distracted during homework, I also have many extra curricular activities going on. I always finish my homework in the class before or even the class that its for the day its due but the stress is really killing me. Thanks for any help.

You may try designating a time, say 8 p.m. (right after school if it’s game night) to sit down, get out your books, and go to work. Find a quiet place, without the TV or your ipod, or your computer bugging you. The silence may take some getting used to, but you will find that you can really focus on your task better. Getting into the routine, and making a habit of it, is the tough part. Be diligent, though, and stick to your new routine.

From a counselor’s prospective, you need to learn to budget time properly. If you can not find the time in between school and extra curricular activities it might be time to reconsider what is more important, your sanity and good grades or all those activities that you might not need. You could just cut back on those alittle.

Just calm down & think that u r going to be educated to have a better life & better knowledge about your surrounding.
Concentrate on what u r doing do not think to other things it decreases your out come. Stress will reduce your capabilities.

Make sure if anyone can do something u can do it too….
So u can do your homework on time…yes you can

Try starting it a few days before it’s due, and do it a bit at a time. Try studying with no distractions for say 15 minutes then have a quick 5 minute break and go back for another 15 minutes. Do it as long as you can but if you start it early you don’t need to panic about getting it done in one night :) x

Schedule you study time with breaks that last only ten to fifteen minutes. Study should be around 45 minutes then a few minutes break. Stretch and walk around, get something to drink, get back at it. This should last for a couple hours, or if needed three. Then plan for a period of what you want to do that should last for a few more hours.
45 minutes studying 10 rest and relaxation
lather rinse repeat. then get out of the shower of information and education
use a bit of mental floss. (it helps if you have a beard and long hair)lololol

For the last time. And you can be taken seriously as an educated person who knows things. That is the most satisfying part of post-college years: being taken seriously and and having charge of your future in some aspects. The money is not bad either. You set yourself a step ahead of those that do not think education is important. Even if they are actually smarter than you…your education places you in the position of being the one that will generally have your ideas listened to sooner. Thank you and good night.
